Sometimes. Life just doesn’t go the way we planned.
And when it doesn’t sometimes that hurts – on the inside. It can range from just discomfort to real loss (the kind that makes you not want to eat or stay in bed all day).
So when this change comes – you have a choice – you always have a choice.
To… acknowledge reality. Things just didn’t work out the way you planned.
To….let it hurt, for however long it needs to hurt.
To….not RSVP to your own pity party – where denial and people wearing sweat pants are present and you get pats on the back for wallowing.
You might ask me – how the heck do you stay so present when it feels so yucky? I rather run and run fast (which means I rather be numb than feel).
So, my answer is you just do. You fight for the real pain. You sob if you need to. You take hugs where ever you can get them. You journal. And then you let the light slowly come back in.
And you know it will, because it has before.
So you can use a challenge – to complain, to RSVP to the pity party, to wonder how or why didn’t things go your way.
Or you can use a challenge to learn about yourself. To create a change in your body and your soul that you’ve been waiting for.
What challenge are you going to turn into a change?
