I probably read at least 10 blogs a week that share awesome ideas, I recently signed up for Twitter, I’m a regular on Facebook, over the last 15 years, I have read a plethora of self-help books from finding your self to learning how to survive a break up. I listen to podcasts full of ideas about life anytime I’m in the car.
I’ve got a bazillion ideas running through my head all the time that come from other people’s words. And, these ideas will most likely stimulate me to write something that I share with all of you.
For a while, I have been nervous and afraid when I share because I kept thinking…everybody already knows this stuff, it’s out there, my ideas aren’t new, why should I share them?
How can I be motivated to share my thoughts in a world of a bazillion ideas that seem to have already been shared?
The answer is, I am going to accept it.
There are no new ideas.
I give in. I’m waving my white flag. I accept.
Relief – I don’t have to come up with a new idea!
This acceptance will allow me to continue to write but with more freedom. And it’s probably going to be about something you’ve heard before…maybe in a Madonna song or from a 1992 Power of Positive Thinking calendar or from the Dalai Lama.
But here is what I do know about sharing in a world of no new ideas…that no one else can write or share my words but me.
And maybe, just maybe, when you read my words, even though you may have heard them before, in that moment, you will hear them a bit differently. And it will help you. Help you create a little more happiness in your life.
Or at least that’s what I hope. And that hope is why I will keep sharing.
If you have something you hesitate to share with the world because it isn’t new…I’ll tell you, it probably isn’t.
But that doesn’t mean the world doesn’t need it. The world does need it.
Don’t hesitate. Anymore.
In a world of a bazillion ideas, the world still needs you to SHARE YOU.
Because no one else can.
Are you willing to accept a world of no new ideas and share your self anyway?
