Setting Intentions Part Two

The second step I took to set my intentions for this year was to pick a question that I wanted to ask myself, often.  Here’s how I got to my question…

A few of weeks ago I was feeling really mentally bogged down.  And then, I had a pretty clear thought…

Life is too short for this shit.

What shit am I talking about? The over-thinking, the stress, the making of mountains out of mole hills in my mind.

In 2012, I am determined, to do less of this. And I am going to do less of this by asking myself one question:

Is this fun?

Is this fun to think this?
Is this fun to feel this?
Is it fun to do this?

And if the answer is no, then I am going to figure out how to, one, make it fun (by changing my thinking) or two, I am going to decide to stop doing it.

Because, life is too short to not have more fun.

As I am writing this blog tonight, I have a bit of a cold (again).  Alas it is the season for such things!  But, I am happy because it allows me to ask myself my question:  How can I make having a cold more fun?

My answer…by sharing a few words with you all, warming up some homemade chicken soup, putting on a good movie, and giving my body some much needed rest.

After all, what can be more fun than taking care of myself?

Absolutely nothing. That’s what.

Great questions get great answers.  These great answers make it easy for you to take great actions in your life.

What do you want to ask yourself regularly in 2012?

PS Check out my Tool Box to download a worksheet with some questions that will help you think more about your question and to see one way I am making my year more fun…with friends.  Maybe you can do the same!
